Friendship Ball

The Sunrise Rotary Club has hosted a Prom for the Special Needs High Schoolers in our District for 14+ years now.  The event is unique in that it is held specifically for those students in our District that may feel uncomfortable attending their respective schools Prom.  The SPED educators in our District approached the Sunrise Rotary about this event several years ago and we gladly complied.

The Prom has come to be known as the highlight of the year for these students and we want to make sure this tradition continues.  We usually have about 100 students attend and it is truly their highlight of the year.  

The Sunrise Rotary in conjunction with the Special Needs educators in the high schools provide a great experience for the students with a DJ, full menu, photos and, the highlight of the evening, raffle gifts for every student.
